Visiting Temecula Valley Hospital

Visitors can be good medicine for patients. Family members and friends are welcome to visit. However, patient care is our primary concern at Temecula Valley Hospital, so specific visiting regulations have been established to help enhance the quality of care.

Masking Requirements

Due to the decline in COVID-19 community transmission, as well as inpatient admissions, Southwest Healthcare Temecula Valley Hospital no longer requires masking for employees, patients and guests effective Monday, April 3, 2023.

Southwest Healthcare Temecula Valley Hospital is following the revised UHS Acute Guidance for Universal Source Control (Masking) in accordance with the most recent CDC and state requirements:

Masking is no longer required in healthcare facilities with medium to low transmission levels. However, individuals in healthcare settings must put on a mask when:

  • Caring for a patient with a suspected/confirmed SARS-CoV-2 or COVID infection or other respiratory infection (e.g., those with runny nose, cough, sneeze).
  • They have experienced a high-risk exposure to a SARS-CoV-2 or COVID infected individual. Mask should be worn for 10 days post exposure.
  • Residing/working on a unit/area/facility experiencing a SARS-CoV-2 outbreak; masking could be discontinued as a mitigation measure once no new cases have been identified for 14 days.

Masking is optional to all employees based on personal preference and risk (Mask requirements may change if community transmission returns to higher levels).

Masks will continue to be made available to visitors who wish to mask upon entry to the facility.

Visitors who may be ill or symptomatic should not come to the hospital.
